No Sound when Transforming in SlowGold (WinXP, WinNT or Win2K)

First check the Help>About screen in SlowGold to make sure you are running the latest version (7.7). For information on upgrading click here.

Next go through the following list of settings which will solve the problem in most cases. If you are running WinMe, Win98 or Win95 the steps are just slightly different and you can click here for those instructions.

If the problem continues please email us the report requested below.

A. Confirm Recording Mode in SlowGold

1) From Settings menu>Recording tab, make sure that Digital recording option is selected (if it is grayed out go to step B).
B. Check the Properties for your CD ROM drive to make sure that the "Enable Digital Recording for this CD ROM Device" option is checked.
1. Close SlowGold,
2. From your Windows Control Panel>System icon>Hardware tab, click the Device Manager button,
3. Click the + to the left of the CDROM category to expand it,
4. Double-click the CD-ROM drive that you're using for CD Audio (or check both if you are unsure)
5. Click the Properties tab,.
6. If it's not already selected, check the box that says "Enable digital CD audio for this CD-ROM device",  and make sure there is a check-mark for that option.
7. If you were able to select it then start up SlowGold again and check the Settings Menu>Recording tab to see if digital recording is still grayed out.
8. If not able to select it because it is grayed out, continue to Step C.

C. Send us an ASPI Report
1. Download this file: www.slowgold.com/aspichk.exe (make sure to "save" it to your Windows Desktop to make it easy to find in a moment);
2. Go to your Windows Desktop and run the Aspichk.exe utility by double clicking on it.
3. In the window that opens click the "Save" button to create a text file and save it to your Desktop.
4. Send the report back to us as an email attachment to support@slowgold.comInclude information on what Operating System you are running, what version of Slowgold, and what you found when you did the steps above.

Please note: the file you are sending back to us is called "Aspichk.txt", not Aspichk.exe (which is the utility file you downloaded).
